Cost:
$250 for puppies less than 12 weeks, within the continental
US and to Anchorage, AK.
Older
puppies, adult dogs, and other locations email me for more
information.
All
fees must be paid by the new owner prior to the puppy
leaving.
Includes:
Airfare, airline approved shipping crate, veterinarian exam
and health certificate (required by all airlines).
Availability:
Puppies are shipped via Delta or Northwest airlines on
available flights. Not all flights accept pets, so options
may be limited. Also limiting availability is my work
schedule.
Safety:
While there are some risks (just as driving to work has
risks) the vast majority of puppies arrive safe and sound,
without any side effects.
Process:
Reservations are made with an airline, the puppy goes to the
veterinarian for a health certificate, I take the puppy to
the airport, and the new owner picks up at their airport.
(Really, it's that simple!)
I
generally do all of the work, unless the new owner feels
strongly about making the arrangements themselves.
Other
Options: Ground transport companies do handle pets, but
it is often very expensive. I will only use these companies
if the new owner handles ALL arrangements and prepays for
the puppy/dog in question.
Overseas
and Hawaii: Yes, shipping to these areas is possible,
but is expensive and time consuming. I will only ship to
these areas if the new owner handles ALL arrangements, and
prepays for the puppy/dog in question.
